Other notable activities include meetings of various philatelic groups, such as the Postal Stationery Society, the Cinderella Stamp Club of Australasia, and others. These meetings will occur in an adjacent room. Details and times of these will be available later.
Hosting an event like this costs a lot of money. Part of the cost is covered by the sale of souvenirs. Both the host society (Newcastle Philatelic Society) and Australia Post produce souvenirs. The collecting of exhibition souvenirs is a growing collector interest.
